Children’s Choir

Purpose (Scope of Ministry): To lead children in music and drama that glorifies Jesus Christ; To help them grow as disciples as they learn music that is biblically sound and inspiring

Ministry Team Composition Requirements:

• Church Membership: Yes
• Chairman: Selected by Nominating Committee and elected by church body
• Length of service: 1 year term
• Main Staff Contact: Director of Music
• Other Requirements:
  • Volunteers must complete Safe Kids Training

General Responsibilities:

1. All leaders must be members of Staples Mill Road Baptist Church
2. Work with the Director of Music to develop a dynamic, inviting weekly preschool and children’s music ministry program
3. All purchase requests need to be approved by the Director of Music
4. Coordinate with the Director of Music opportunities for the children to sing in the Sunday morning worship services
5. Prepare children’s musical programs to present to the church

Measurements of Effectiveness:

• Children experience a safe and encouraging environment that points them to Jesus
• Children learn to worship through music
