Purpose (Scope of Ministry): To consider, plan, and implement worship, prayer, discipleship, ministry, and fellowship programs and events uniquely oriented towards and suitable for Seniors (ages 65 and above or retired).
The Senior Ministry Team is dedicated to serving and ministering to adults aged 65 and older (or those who are retired) by planning and implementing worship, prayer, discipleship, fellowship, and service opportunities tailored to their needs. This team meets regularly to assess how to best encourage and support Senior members and guests, keeping in mind considerations such as health, mobility, and availability.
Their work includes organizing gatherings that promote fellowship, offering avenues for Seniors to serve through prayer, teaching, and visitation, and cultivating a community where each Senior feels valued and included. The team also actively connects with Seniors in the church to keep the ministry responsive and relevant.
Through these efforts, Seniors are affirmed in their importance to the church family, remain spiritually and socially engaged, and continue to build meaningful relationships. If you have a heart for serving our Senior adults or are a Senior looking to connect, this ministry is a great place to get involved.
