SAFE (Security) Team
Serve on the SAFE Team to help provide a secure and safe environment for all who gather at the church. By working proactively to address potential risks and assisting with safety during events, you help ensure that everyone can focus on worship and ministry with peace of mind.
Purpose (Scope of Ministry): To provide the church with a basic security plan to address potential threats from events such as: severe weather, fire, disruptive attendees, crime, or terrorism.
The SAFE Team is dedicated to ensuring the safety and security of the church and its members by preparing for potential threats such as severe weather, fire, disruptive individuals, or emergencies. This ministry team works to provide a basic security plan, including evacuation procedures and assistance during events, while also relying on God’s sovereignty.
The team consists of church members who are trained to handle security duties, assist with medical needs, provide information, and help with any other needs during church services, ministry times, and special events. They are involved in planning and updating safety procedures, working closely with the Senior Pastor. They also coordinate with the Associate Pastor for Children and Families to ensure proper child evacuation and pick-up procedures are in place.
SAFE Team members undergo training, including Safe Kids Training and background checks, and are expected to maintain a physical ability to perform necessary duties.
This ministry is crucial for providing peace of mind to all church staff and members, enabling them to focus on worship and ministry with confidence in their safety.
