Purpose (Scope of Ministry): To coordinate church recreation programs to enhance the opportunity for fellowship among the church body.
The Recreation Team at SMRBC plays an essential role in fostering fellowship and community among church members through engaging, fun, and purposeful recreational activities. This ministry is designed to create opportunities for people of all ages to connect, build relationships, and enjoy each other’s company while also glorifying God.
Team members coordinate and supervise various recreational programs, such as sports events, family outings, and other activities that promote interaction and healthy competition. They are also involved in planning outreach-oriented programs that engage both church members and the broader community. By supporting these events, the team helps to cultivate a welcoming environment where people can grow in their relationships with each other and with God.
The Recreation Team works closely with the Associate Pastor for Outreach and Administration, and they are responsible for making recommendations on the budget and managing ministry expenses.
If you enjoy sports, games, and helping others connect in a meaningful way, this ministry provides an opportunity to serve while bringing people together in the joy of fellowship.
