Personnel Committee
Serve on the Personnel Committee to ensure that the church staff is well-supported, fairly compensated, and equipped to fulfill their roles. By helping to establish clear policies, maintain staff records, and assist in personnel-related matters, you contribute to a healthy work environment that enables the church to fulfill its mission.
Purpose (Scope of Ministry): To assist the church in matters relating to personnel administration and management. These matters will include such areas as employment, salaries, benefits, problems, and personnel services.
The Personnel Committee serves to ensure the effective management and administration of all church-related personnel matters. This ministry plays a key role in supporting the church staff by overseeing employment, salaries, benefits, and handling personnel issues with care and professionalism.
The committee is responsible for maintaining clear personnel policies, keeping accurate personnel records, and assisting the Senior Pastor with personnel matters. They work to ensure that staff members understand their roles and responsibilities, and they help prepare job descriptions, organizational charts, and employment contracts. Additionally, the committee recommends salary adjustments during the budgeting process and reviews staff benefits on a regular basis to ensure they are fair and competitive.
This team helps ensure that church staff members are treated with respect and care, contributing to a positive work environment and high staff morale.

The Personnel Committee has a limited number of spots available each year. New members are prioritized who have been active in the church body for some time, who can bring experience in Personnel and HR issues, who are known to be wise decision-makers, and who can represent needs and perspectives from various ministries and demographics of the church. Because of their trusted ministry in the church, Personnel Committee members are carefully selected by the Nominating Committee and Pastors.
