Purpose (Scope of Ministry): To nominate to the church a roster of names of those persons who are best fitted to fill all church offices and to serve on all church committees.
The Nominating Committee serves the church by identifying, equipping, and recommending individuals who are gifted and called to serve in leadership and ministry roles. This team plays a vital role in ensuring the health and effectiveness of every ministry by placing qualified and committed believers into positions where they can serve the body and glorify Christ.
Committee members work prayerfully and collaboratively with the pastoral staff to understand ministry needs, invite participation, and match individuals with roles that fit their gifts and calling. This includes nominating team members, ministry chairs, and deacon candidates, as well as educating the congregation on service opportunities through church-wide communications and personal outreach.
Those who serve on the Nominating Committee must be church members for at least one year and are led by a chairman in partnership with the Senior Pastor. They also guide the deacon selection process through interviews and evaluations, helping ensure that servant leaders are spiritually prepared and affirmed by the church body.
If you value discernment, organization, and encouraging others to serve, this committee offers a behind-the-scenes yet spiritually significant way to strengthen the church.
